Death Valley National Parks Day Trip

Do you dare to take a walk on the wild side? Trek around the Death Valley National Park which is the hottest, driest and lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. With its magical array of colors and extreme desert environment - it is literally a photographers dream. Spend a day visiting one of the most unique landscapes on earth! Highlights - Tick this phenomenon off your bucket list for once and for all - Stop off at the visitor center and museum to learn more about the hidden history and curious culture - Set your eyes on sights that will blow your mind This full day tour offers spectacular highlights of the natural side of Death Valley which is considered a desolate national treasure! Feast your eyes on the millions of acres of seemingly untouched terrain which as you'll soon come to notice has yet to be captured in all its glory, photos that you're bound to have seen in geography books and videos that you've seen on the Discovery Channel just don't do this place justice! To make sure you get to relive this moment time and time again, you'll be able to get as many photos as your memory card can handle at the breath taking stop off points: at Zabriskie Point, Dantes View, on the stunning scenic drive through Artist’s Pallet, at Devils Golf Course and Bad Water - which is based at a whopping 280 feet below sea level and is therefore the lowest point in the whole of the Western Hemisphere. The visitor center was recently renovated to bring its facilities up to the 21st century. Watch a 20 minute park film which is narrated by Donald Southerland, which gives you a real insight into the park’s geologic formation. There are a whole load of fascinating artifacts and exhibits on display for children and adults alike so you can walk away not only having seen Death Valley but also knowing Death Valley as well! During winter, the rangers present a wide variety of walks, talks and slide style presentations about the ins and outs of Death Valley. Learn all about the natural and historic resources and feel free to ask any questions that the rangers will be happy to answer or maybe even get treated to a personalised story if you're lucky enough. Throw yourself back thousands of years as you take a step back into history. The museum is located really nearby the visitor center, which means you won't need to roast your socks off before you get there. Step into the historical building and come across several exhibits which really show what went on in the way of mining way back when. There are several types of ore and a small exhibit of the Harmony Borax mine itself which you can cast your eyes on. Tread your toes outside and be faced with several antique exhibits of mining machinery. A piece which stands out is the oxen shoeing device which was used to physically lift the ox up in the air so the shoes could be put on it. Once you've got your fill of history, fast forward to present day life and get back to Mohave Desert in time for some good old fashioned Vegas nightlife. Languages English.

On top of that, it is certainly a cut above the rest and will surely leave its mark in your memories. T. C. By night, blessed with one of the darkest skies in the whole of America, the views of the Milky Way from here will seemingly melt before your very eyes. It’ll be hard for us to tear you away from this place for certain but what’s in store for you is set to dazzle you as well. You get to hear about the history as you meander around the pretty place. Budding photographers and experts alike will revel in the heaps of opportunities on offer to capture the postcard-pretty backdrops. As the day goes on, the colours change at the same time so the time of day that you pick to do the tour will definitely have an impact on the photos you get. Keep your eyes peeled, there are more than a fair few mammals that call this place home from falcons and hummingbirds to desert tortoises and even bats! If you’re green fingered, you’ll probably be more in to the flowers which come out to play in spring and summer. Sego Lily and Columbine are unquestionably the most popular and pervasive. Zion really takes you to another place and you’ll be itching to come back time and time again, you won’t be able to get enough of this international treasure! Languages: English.
