For the cruise from Alanya and Manavgat, board your gulet on the Manavgat River, sailing along its emerald waters towards the open sea. From Kemer-Belek and Antalya, sail on a double-decker wooden boat, gliding from bay to bay, wafting past coves, forests and pine-clad mountains. Stretch on a sunbed on the upper deck cooled by the sea breezes. Relax on the shaded lower deck and take in the views. Keep an eye out for dolphins - there’s quite a high concentration in these waters. The captain will drop anchor a few times so you can swim or snorkel. The first stop is Phaselis Bay, where Hidden among the trees you will discover crumbled shops, baths and streets dating back 2,000 years to Roman times. On arrival in Antalya, we will visit the Tünektepe Cable Car located to the west side of the city and climbing approximately 600m to a hilltop offering a unique view over the city, Mediterranean Sea and pine forests which cover the nearby mountains. After our descent, we will drive to the old town (Kaleici) which was the old walled city dating back to the 2nd century AD. You will see Hadrian’s Gate, the Clock Tower and old city walls, all sitting above the picturesque, old harbour. This harbour was used for trade up to the 20th century and is still a popular yachting marina and starting point for the daily boat trips along the Antalya coast. The Old Town with its narrow stoney streets is also a great place to explore numerous boutiques, art galleries and interesting museums. Sapadere Canyon is a hidden paradise, one of the top attractions in Antalya region and really worth a visit. You will be amazed by its natural beauty and charming waterfalls as you walk along the wooden path specially designed for visitors. On the way from Side to Sapadere canyon (entrance fee included) you will pass Alanya city and then continue the journey driving through the Taurus Mountains. There are spectacular views of these gorgeous mountains and beautiful landscapes so different from the seaside. On arrival to the Canyon you will be free to discover it by walking along the 750m long wooden path; having enough time for a pleasant walk and to enjoy every corner of this paradise. If you are brave enough to challenge the cold water you can swim in the natural pools by a waterfall. At the end of the Canyon there is the spectacular waterfall of Sapadere. Be at one with nature, enjoy the freshness of this waterfall and be sure to take the great photos there. During this trip you will also visit the natural cave called Guceler (Dwarf) Cave (entrance fee not included). It will be an interesting experience to see the stalagmites and stalactites formations. After collection from the hotels, the tour drives to the meeting point to join the beginning of the combi tour. The first destination is the Castle of Alanya dating back to the Middle Ages and having a spectacular view of the coastline of Alanya from its’ hilltop position. From here it is possible to see the harbour, Cleopatra Beach, Keykubat Beach and the Taurus Mountains in the background. After the castle, the tour heads to the mountains behind Alanya, driving on the first off- road section of the tour, which takes around 20 minutes. The tour breaks at the Mosque in Obakoy where information is given about the Islam religion, customs and the architecture of mosques. Continuing on the way through the countryside, the tour joins the second part of the off-road section (20 mins), passing orchards of fruit trees (olives, banana, medlar, pomagranate, orange and lemon), fields and the beautiful scenery of the Taurus Mountains. Following this, the tour stops at a Turkish house for a half hour break and to observe the life of a typical Turkish village family. The owners of the house serve sage tea in their garden full with orange trees. Leaving Obakoy the tour drives on to the valley of DimCay and stops for a gozleme which is a traditional rural food like a very thin crepe stuffed with cheese and parsley and to take a look over the Dim Dam; a new hydro-electric station in the area, built on the Dim River and creating the Dim Lake with its spectacular surroundings. A tasty lunch will take place in a picnic place over the DimCay which is a famous site for the inhabitants of Alanya to escape to when seeking a cooler climate, having tables floating in the cool river water. Transfer from the Hotel to the Buggy Safari base. After a briefing about the vehicles, the route and safety rules you'll make a test drive.
