The tour will start at Montjuic, site of the famous Olympic Ring before we head for the Passeig de Gracia, one of the city's most famous boulevards. Your guide will explain how the budding Catalan bourgeoisie flocked here to display their newly made wealth through the construction of extravagant apartment blocks. Admire two of Gaudi's greatest creations, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. Next stop is the Parc Guell. These gardens were first commissioned by the Guell family as a part of a landscaped housing development. However the venture was unsuccessful and the area was bought up by the municipality and turned into a public park. On this guided walking tour you'll see all the main features including the world-famous dragon staircase with its mosaic of broken tiles. The last stop is the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece. The Basilica can be seen a synthesis of the great architect's overall conception of architecture.
