Practice your saluting skills, whether to captain or queen, as we bounce from one must-see to the next in Copenhagen’s inner-city. On our Copenhagen Must Sees tour, we’ll start by buttoning down and letting loose to the memory of Hans Christian Andersen and the tales of the fishermen of Nyhavn. The colourful houses of Nyhavn are genuinely one of the must-sees of Denmark’s capital you need to cover during your stay in this enchanting city. Just have a look at Instagram! Before long, we’ll encounter scientific discoveries at The Round Tower, some of the oldest parts of the inner-city at the picturesque Gråbrødretorv (square) and where Copenhageners go to shop-till-they-drop. But that’s not all… Attention! You are approaching the Royal ground. You better straighten out that shirt! From castle - to palace - to parliament, Christiansborg Palace has always been home to the creme de la creme of Copenhagen. Marvel at the pomp and circumstance as you capitulate to the powerhouse of Denmark. Roaming its halls, together we will dance in the footsteps of politicians and royalty alike. If you desire to continue your stay, we bow and make our exit (from the tour that is!) inside the palace. Or if you wish to take to the seas - we’ll happily point you in the direction of our favourite canal tour. So what are you waiting for, an invitation from the Queen? Come experience Copenhagen Must Sees for our selection of the best of what the city has to offer! Others This tour ends inside Christiansborg Palace so guests may continue to enjoy the Palace or continue to nearby sights (it is approx. a 10 min walk back to Nyhavn). Nørrebro Tour

Your Copenhagen tour will meet at Dronning Louises Bro, a bridge that connects the inner city and Nørrebro. Thousands of pedestrians and cyclists cross the bridge daily, making it one of the busiest bike lanes in the world. The bridge is also a favourite local hangout that feels more like a park than a path — a great example of the city’s best urban planning. And speaking of urban planning, we’re going to show off why Copenhagen is the world’s most livable city! The first stop on our tour will be the largest green courtyard in Nørrebro, where you’ll learn how life has changed in what used to be one of the poorest parts of Copenhagen — and how local activists and clever policies have helped to re-imagine the area. We’ll exit the courtyard at Blaagaards Plads — a square that has played a central part in the area’s history and continues to do so today. From there we’ll continue towards Tjili Pop, which is a popular bar among students living in this area. Here we’ll enjoy an ecological beer or juice, before continuing our tour to Hans Tavsens Park. This park is a hidden gem, but widely used by locals. From there, we will continue towards Assistens Cemetery, which dates back to 1760 when it was founded outside the city walls. We’ll walk through the cemetery, where some of the most famous Danes are buried. We’ll also head to Jægersborggade, a lively street that’s dominated by independent design shops and small restaurants and cafés. On Jægersborggade, you will also find some of the city’s most exciting restaurants, including a famed Michelin star spot. Your next stop will be Superkilen, a newly designed urban space, designed by Copenhagen’s own Bjarke Ingels. You’ll get the inside story of the different elements of the space, and learn how they play into Nørrebro’s modern history. We’ll finish the tour at a local bar over a beer.

Vince and Vesterbro

Your Copenhagen tour starts at the city’s central station before venturing into what used to be the roughest neighborhood in town. As the world’s most famous red light district of the 60s, Vesterbro quickly made a name for itself, which brought with it drug addicts, street prostitutes, tattoo shops, as well as shady dive bars. Wandering the streets today, though, you’ll see first-hand how gentrification can change a place. Highlights - Learn the seedy history of Vesterbro and wander streets once frequented by shady locals and travellers - Experience where locals live and love to hang out with pit-stops in two beloved and distinctive pubs - Experience how gentrification is transforming a shady neighbourhood into a hip urban area We will start the tour with a visit to one of the few traditional bodegas still standing that has not been completely overrun by newcomers to the area. Here we will enjoy a beer in a familiar Danish atmosphere and talk about its importance for the locals who have lived in the neighborhood all their life. From there, we will make our way up one of the most famous streets in Denmark, where you will hear stories of the Vesterbro of the past. This will take us into a quiet street where you will hear a drama-filled story of two siblings who had a nag for beer, which they turned into a hugely popular beer brand that resonates so well with the city’s contemporary way of life. As we move on, you will hear about and experience one of the city’s amazing parks and its importance to the neighborhood, as well as be introduced to one of our local breakfast secrets that you just must try. We will end the tour at one of the abovementioned brothers’ newest additions to the Copenhagen bar scene: a Danish-Texan brewpub and restaurant that has taken Copenhagen by storm. Stay as long as you like, or, if you feel like exploring further, your guide will be happy to share dinner recommendations — there are many excellent places just around the corner.

Moving on, we cross Strøget, the longest pedestrian street in the world, where we will talk about Danish design and how this plays a significant role in Danish homes and hearts. From there, we will pass by the castles that house government offices and parliament and talk about both the formal and informal ways that Denmark is governed — and how the country has succeed in creating a system with a very high degree of trust and confidence.
