Mudanya & Tirilye Tour
An opportunity to enjoy an evening on the southern shores of the Marmara Sea, some 30km from Bursa and also to explore the historical buildings of the ancient city of Tirilye. Inhabited since the 5th century BC, Tirilye boomed when demand for the products from the Southern Marmara area increased during ancient times. The city’s most important remaining historical structure is the Byzantine Haghioi Theodoroi Church, known as Fatih Mosque today. Important as a religious centre for Greek Orthodox Christians, the area is now protected as an important historical site and is considered an open-air museum due to its’ many Byzantine and Ottoman monuments which includes old Greek houses dating from the end of the 19th century. The area is also famous for its’ production of olives. Mudanya is a commercial and residential town situated 12 km east along the Marmara coast from Tirilye with fish restaurants along the sea front.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Bursa and drive to discover the city. Bursa, former capital of the Ottoman Empire from 13th century; known for its pretty Islamic monuments, historical bazaars, ski resort on Ulu Mountain (Uludag) and delicious traditional cuisine. Muradiye Mosque: built by Murad II in 1435 (839 A.H.) on a hill northeast of the city which overlooks the palace grounds (Sarayiçi) to the northwest. . Originally conceived of as a convent (tekke) for the Mevlevi order, the building was later converted into a mosque. Ulucami (Great Mosque): built in the Selcuk style in 1399, this distinctive mosque has 20 domes and 12 massive pillars. Bursa history and museums tour - Private

We then move on to the Atatürk Museum in the south of Bursa. It is a late-19th century house where he stayed during his thirteen visits to Bursa and is now converted into a museum containing Atatürk’s furniture and personal belongings, documenting his life. Afterwards, the tour heads to the Uluumay Museum, which houses a much-prized collection of Ottoman folk costumes and jewellery in the beautiful 15th century Sair Ahmet Pasa building. You’ll then have some free time for lunch. After lunch, we visit the Bursa Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, where you'll discover a selection of paintings, statues, textiles, manuscripts and weaponry. There is also a traditional Turkish bath and coffee house here. We’ll explore the Bursa City Museum, which celebrates the rich history of the Marmara area and displays works created by local craftsmen over the centuries, ranging from wood carvings to hand-woven rugs. Iznik tour - Prviate
The tour begins with a panoramic view of Iznik Lake from the bus, an area of stunning natural beauty. Iznik was a major centre for the creation of faience pottery during the Ottoman period of the 16th century. Iznik tiles were used to decorate many of the mosques in Istanbul designed by Mimar Sinan, however this industry declined in the 17th century but has been restored to its’ former glory. Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman Period works are exhibited in the garden of the museum. These works consist of columns, sarcophaguses, relief, barrier plates, inscriptions, roof gutters, well bracelets and Islamic grave stones. Afterwards we move on to see how the ceramic tiles which this region is famous for are made. The sights which we see include Tumulus and Monument tombs of Iznik and the Castle of Iznik (viewed from the road). Hagia Sophia Church – built by Justinian I and modelled after the larger one of the same name in Istanbul, it was converted to a mosque by Ottoman Turks in 1337 but retains its’ attractive Byzantine architectural style. Greeen Mosque: Recognised as the symbol of Iznik, the Green or Yesil Mosque takes its name from the turquoise coloured Iznik tiles and the bricks of its’ minaret which are a fine reflection of the Selcuk minaret style in Ottoman art. M.Kemalpasa Town Tour
Located approximately 80Km south west of the city of Bursa, this historical town dates back to the Hittite period with a presence through Roman, Byzantine and Selcuk periods. Liberated during Turkey’s War of Independence in 1920, the town was renamed after the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Oylat Cave and Thermal Bath Tour
We start the day with pick you up from your hotel and drive to Oylat Cave. The cave is located at one kilometer south of Hamiliye Village. It has got two main sections. First section starts from the entrance to the end of the cave. Second section of the cave has got the big debris saloon. Cave has many large blocks and damlatas shapes. Oylat cave`s total length is 665 meter. And the water temperature is minimum 19ºC and maximum 55ºC. After visiting we walk about 500 meters down the hill for Oylat Thermal Bath which is included the programme. We then move on to the waterfall at Babasultan Village where the water is icy cold. Last stop will be fruit garden (according to the season). You can see the most beautiful and natural fruits in this garden. A delicious lunch of the area's famous meatballs known as Inegol Kofte can be enjoyed before the last stop at Bursa's Zoo. At the end of the tour, back to hotel. With an early start, the drive lasts approximately 4 hours and makes the short crossing across the Dardanelles from Canakkale to the Gallipoli peninsula by ferry. Here the tour visits the famous battle fields of Gallipoli, Anzac Cove and the war cemeteries (including Beach Cemetery, Quinn's Post, and the Nek).
