Take a ride on the historic railway, affectionately known as the Red Lightning, which runs between Palma and Sóller. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, past orange groves and almond tree fields, through the idyllic village of Bunyola Once you arrive in Sóller, your way leads you to the impressive Modernisme houses. After the cultural experience, culinary delights are offered. The world-famous cooperative "Fet-a-Sóller" produces the delicious orange cream ice cream, which you can enjoy on site. Afterwards, the journey continues on the historic tram that connects Sóller with the port of Port de Sóller. After a 15-minute ride along the beautiful beach promenade, the train ends in the centre of the little town. Stroll through the idyllic harbour village on foot, stop off at a cosy restaurant and enjoy a three-course meal. Then take a comfortable minibus over the breathtaking panoramic route through the Tramuntana mountains to the artists' village of Deía. Climb to the highest point of the village and experience a sensational view over the heights of the Tramuntana mountains, the picturesque valleys, the coast and the sea. Afterwards, after a leisurely walk, you can enjoy a refreshment in the garden of the 5-star luxury hotel La Residencia. The hotel holds rich treasures, more than 300 original paintings, for example by Miro and Picasso, decorate the walls and the garden is full of works of art with striking sculptures Passing mighty holm oak forests, the journey finally continues to Valdemossa. Explore the idyllic town, visit the outstanding museum of the painter Josep Coll Bardolet, and finally reach the famous Carthusian hermitage where Chopin lived and worked.
