From a project of the City of Naples, the idea was born to offer new possibilities of meeting with contemporary art, through the redevelopment of the outdoor and underground spaces of the underground stations. A new concept of museum, distributed over the entire urban area. This excursion along the metro line is a unique experience to experience the artistic and historical beauty of Naples. An itinerary that combines the past and the present, ancient archaeological finds with more recent works of contemporary art, at each station history and art come together in a perfect union. Many stations, designed by some of the most prestigious architects on the contemporary scene, such as Gae Aulenti, Domenique Perrault and Oscar Tusquets Blanca, and decorated with around 200 installations by world-famous artists, have won top-level awards, such as the Toledo station, judged in 2014 as the most beautiful in Europe.
