The village of Pyrgos is known as the island’s “historic monument”. Built on the top of a hill, this settlement holds an 18th century Venetian castle. Megalochori, one of the most beautiful traditional villages of the island. This local settlement hold typical and classical Cycladic houses, and neoclassic buildings dug in the volcanic rock, blending together with harmony. Discover Emporio, the entry to another past era and the island commercial center during the Venetian occupation. In Medieval times, the inhabitants of this village used to build their houses side by side, in small picturesque streets, so that they could protect themselves against the pirates. Akrotiri village was one of the 5 fortified areas of the island in medieval times. The “fisherman” village holds the Red and White Beach, the Lighthouse of the island and the Akrotiri Kastelli. In Akrotiri, we will also visit a local family farm, which offers high quality handmade traditional products . Schedule Tour departures available between 8am to 3pm.
