Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Tour in Spanish
Whilst you are in Berlin, visit the nearby concentration camp of Sachsenhausen, or Saxon’s House, to see first-hand the harsh conditions and shocking treatment experienced by prisoners at the hands of their SS captors. Highlights - The site of one of the largest counterfeiting operations during the war - The prisoner’s daily routine and main zones in the camp - Both heroic and heart-wrenching stories Take this opportunity to learn about the interesting history of the camp, the type of prisoners, what their routine was and what kind of work and punishment they were given. As the site of one of the largest counterfeiting operations during the war, this camp tells an intriguing story of prisoners forced to produce fake British and American banknotes in an attempt to make the Allied economies unstable and help the Nazi war effort. The prisoners also worked on aircraft construction for Heinkel, and when many of the aircraft crashed on the way to combat, it was thought that somehow, even under heavy observation, the stoic prisoners had managed to sabotage the planes which they worked on. Amidst uplifting tales of the unquenchable human spirit, are examples of brutality and disregard for life in the camp. You will hear of the Sachsenhausen Salute, the Death March, the medical experiments and the mass graves. Sobering and heart-wrenching it may be, but you will not regret learning more about the realities of these camps and you will not forget your visit to Sachsenhausen. During your visit you will see the model of the field, the training camp of the SS, the yard command, Tower A, the neutral zone, the barracks, the prison camp, the gallows, the kitchen and laundry, the pit, a photographic exhibition, and laboratory findings. Join the tour of Sachsenhausen and have a day filled with history, remembrance and emotion. Languages Spanish

The Berlin Wall – Berlin in the Cold War
Berlin was the city that defined the Cold War. With capitalism on one side of the Wall, and communism on the other, the Berliners had to learn how to live in a divided city. This tour will take you through the history the Berlin Wall’s construction, daring escapes to West Berlin, tragic failures, and how the East Germans brought the inhuman communist machine to its knees with peaceful protests in 1989. On this tour you’ll visit ‘Stalinallee’, a grand boulevard built in the early days of the East as a monument to the Man of Steel, Stalin. Your guide will take you to the fascinating Berlin Wall memorial, where part of the “Death Strip” has been reconstructed to show you what divided Berlin really looked like. You’ll head deep into the East to see the former headquarters of East Germany’s terrifying secret police, the Stasi, history’s most pervasive spying operation, and you’ll see what was perhaps East Germany’s most ambitious architectural project, the enormous TV Tower. Of course you will also be brought to the place where the East German regime finally collapsed, where thousands of East Germans burst through to West in November 1989, bringing 28 years of separation to an emotional end; Bornholmer Strasse. Potsdam – Royal Paradise and 1945 Conference Venue
Potsdam lies just outside of Berlin. This beautiful town was the home of Prussia’s royalty, and is filled with the parks and palaces of Prussians kings, princes, and German Emperors. Our walking tour leads you through exquisite parks to the sites of Schloss Glienicke, Babelberg Castle, and the Marble Palace, built by the king Friedrich Wilhelm II, who earned the unfortunate nickname ‘the fat and useless’. The tour also goes into Potsdam’s city centre, where you can take in 18th century Dutch quarter, the gothic revival Nauen Gate, and Potsdam’s own Brandenburg Gate. With so much of Prussia’s history preserved in one place, it’s no surprise that so many places in Potsdam are UNESCO world heritage sites! It’s not all parks and palaces though, Potsdam has a lot of Cold War history, too. You’ll leave Berlin and enter Potsdam by walking over the ‘Bridge of Spies’, where the USA and the Soviet Union swapped agents during the Cold War. In the town centre you will see the site of a former Stasi prison, and your guide will take you to Cecilienhof, where Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt met to decide Europe’s fate at the Potsdam Conference. The tour finishes with a trip to the breathtaking palace and garden of Sanssouci. Inspired by Versailles, this was Frederick the Great’s favourite palace. You will be free to stay and enjoy the gardens after the tour, or accompany the guide back to Berlin.

Chief among them is possibly one of the most iconic stage props of all time: a Trabant car used by U2 during their Zoo TV tour in the early Nineties. Like all great revolutions, the Hard Rock Cafe wasn’t meant to succeed. It was 1971 and as the Swinging Sixties had given way to the Super Seventies, fashions and tastes were changing. Two hungry young Americans were in London and couldn’t find a decent place to eat a decent burger… so they opened up a joint in the English capital. Their landlord didn’t think it would last and only gave them a six-month lease. Four decades later, there are almost 200 Hard Rock Cafes in more than 50 countries worldwide. The first T-shirt hit the streets in ‘74 and the first piece of memorabilia came, fittingly, by chance in ‘79 when Eric Clapton asked to hang his Lead II Fender guitar over his favourite bar stool and thus marked it as his spot. Today, the rock 'n' roll collection has more than 74,000 pieces and is the largest of its kind. By 1982, the Hard Rock Cafe had gone global and the rest, as they say, is history (that’s still being written). Choose from one of the following menus: GOLD MENU MAINS Original Legendary® Burger Fresh Black Angus steak burger, with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onion ring, leaf lettuce and vine-ripened tomato, served with our signature steak sauce and seasoned fries on the side. Grilled Chicken Sandwich Grilled chicken with melted Monterey Jack cheese, smoked bacon, leaf lettuce and vine-ripened tomato, served on a toasted fresh bun with honey mustard sauce and seasoned fries on the side. Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese Grilled chicken breast, sliced and served on cavatappi pasta tossed in a four-cheese sauce blend. Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Grilled chicken with fresh romaine tossed in a classic tossed in a classic Caesar dressing, topped with parmesan crisps, croutons and shaved parmesan cheese.
